What is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search engine optimisation is developing websites that make it easy for search engines to index. The goal of the SEO is to achieve high Google ranking for each optimised websites.

A search engine uses an algorithm(formula) to examine each website it visits and will classify each webpage according to this formula.

Top search engine optimisation is the application of as many of the known parameters of the search engine algorithms as possible.

Naturally the search engines don't publish the contents of their algorithms, and there can be as many as 100+ parameters used by each engine.

There are no guaranteed search engine optimisation results, as the search engines are always changing their formulas. After all the known parameters have been implemented the real test of any website is its content.

If a website has relevant content to the web searcher then the Search Engine is likely to list in a high ranking position, if content is not relevant then the search engine is likely to rank it lower in the listings or not index it at all.
