Increasing your website traffic
If you follow these strategies on a consistent basis then you will increase your traffic fast!
The following strategies are proven to work if applied consistently:
- Use keywords that result from a Full Keyword Analysis
- Pick one or two phrases for each page
- Keep other keywords in mind when building your pages
- Use keywords in filenames and directory names
- Keep a shallow directory tree - don't have too many levels of sub-directories
- Create a good TITLE for your page
- Create a Keywords Meta tag (not so important anymore)
- Create a good DESCRIPTION meta tag (very important)
- Make sure your pages contain actual text and not embedded
- images - i.e. you want the search engines to be able to see your web pages
- Use Cascading Style Sheets, but use them with <H> tags
- Use keywords in <H> tags, bold, italics, bullets, , and title case
- Use important keywords near the top of your pages
- Use keywords in link text - don't simply use 'click here'
- Don't overuse any of the above techniques.
